Mylar a is an electrical insulating film made of polyethylene terephthalate and is used as a surface insulating material up to and including insulation class b (130°c).
Property:
Mylar a is tensile and tear resistant, dimensionally stable and shows excellent electrical properties.
The material has good heat and cold resistance to the most common solvents.
application
Mylar a is used as interlayer and cover layer insulation in transformers, chokes and relay coils.
Mylar a is also used as slot and phase insulation, as cover slider and nut sleeve, as well as an insulation layer in electrical devices and as a carrier material for electrical insulation tapes.
It is also used in the production of stencils. excellent for airbrush.
