Tecfilm® PA TC 00190
Description:
Tecfilm® PA TC 00190 is a semi-crystalline white engineering thermoplastic very similar to Tecfilm® PA TC 00192. Tecfilm® PA TC 00190 is interchangeable with Tecfilm® PA TC 00192 in many respects. Its melt viscosity is not quite as low as Tecfilm® PA TC 00192, therefore Tecfilm® PA TC 00190 is slightly easier to process and is often preferred for moulding work. Compared to Tecfilm® PA TC 00192, Tecfilm® PA TC 00190 has a slightly higher impact strength; however, its strength in general and its stiffness are slightly lower. In addition, the water absorption capacity of Tecfilm® PA TC 00190 is higher (the highest of all nylons).
Tecfilm® PA TC 00190 can be "monomer moulded", a process usually simply called "casting". This means that the material is polymerised in a mould directly onto a semi-finished moulding. This allows the production of thick sections without emptying the moulds and results in a product with a slightly different combination of properties: a little stronger and stiffer, a slightly reduced ductility and impact strength.
