norton th - fi 16011

Individual cuts from norton th - fi 16011

Structure:

Norton® th fi 16011 is a polyimide film, abbreviated pi, whose most important structural feature is the imides. The polyimides are produced by condensation polymerization and further processed into film in another chemical processing step.

Property:

Norton® th fi 16011 is a high performance plastic with a unique combination not found elsewhere in polymeric film materials. This makes it ideal for a wide range of applications in numerous fields. Norton® th fi 16011 has excellent chemical resistance; no known organic solvents. Norton® th fi 16011 is dimensionally stable, with shrinkage of less than 0.08%. Furthermore, Norton® th fi 16011 has no melting point, is flame retardant and has the highest flammability rating according to ul-94 v-0 (UL-File: e231847) and only begins to char at 800°C. Thanks to its excellent properties, Norton® th fi 16011 can be used at extremely low temperatures down to -265°C and high temperatures up to over 400°C and has a continuous temperature resistance of +220°C, at which other organic materials are no longer functional. As standard, Norton® th fi 16011 is used at temperatures from 20 - 220 °C.

Application:

Norton® th fi 16011 is used as electric motor insulation, cable and conductor insulation, in windings, in solenoids, in transformers, in capacitors and in printed circuit boards. Norton® th fi 16011 film can be laminated, metallized, die cut or adhesive coated.

Standard color:

Norton® th fi 16011 is supplied in the color amber.
