Tecfilm® PP TC 00170
General Description: Tecfilm® PP TC 00170 is a semi-crystalline, white, semi-transparent utility thermoplastic produced in a variety of grades and modifications. Polypropylene is a linear polyolefin that is similar in many respects to rigid polyethylene and is manufactured in a similar manner. The catalysts used control the stereospecificity of the polymer quite well, so commercially available polypropylenes are generally isotactic.
Applications: Including (for homopolymers), appliance housings, household items, packaging, cassette holders and fibers, single filaments and film tapes; (for copolymers) pipes, containers, boat hulls, seat shells and automotive parts, such as battery housings and shock absorbers. However, the latter are often made from more elastomer-modified polypropylenes.
